Benefits of the Service Facility Scheme The IECEx Service Facility Scheme operated by Baseefa has a number of tangable benefits to workshops and facilities involved in the service, repair and overhaul of equipment for use in hazardous areas. The scheme provides a credible alternative to other schemes promoting recognised and certified service facilities, setting them apart from other organisations and enabling them to use the Baseefa / IECEx approval. Repair and Overhaul work will be carried out with traceability back to the workshop origin who carried out the repairs. Workshops and facilities that achieve and maintain the IECEx certification will be registered on to the IECEx online Certificate of Conformity database and as such will be able to affix the IECEx logo, specific to the scope of certification to workshop reports and associated documentation. |
