DSEAR Plant / Operational Hazard Analysis

pdf Logo.gif

Any hazard that has not been identified cannot be mitigated. Many potential sources of release of hazardous substances can be hidden within complex plant, equipment or facilities, and may present significant, unquantified risks. These situations require detailed analysis utilising a systematic approach tailored to the specific needs of the customer.

Baseefa can provide these services utilising Qualitative and Quantitative Hazard Identification (HAZID) and Hazard Analysis (HAZAN) techniques.

A selection of the techniques offered includes:

  • Hazard and Operability Studies - HAZOP
  • Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
  • Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
  • Event Tree Analysis (ETA)

Baseefa Hazard Analyses Services can be utilized to provide detailed evidence to regulatory authorities in support of plant and equipment safety cases such as the requirements of the Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) Regulations.

The transitional period ends July 2006. Existing facilities must comply by this date.
