INGGRESS PROTECTION TESTING Ingress Protection Testing Application Form
The IP Code refers to the different levels of protection the enclosure provides and gives a means of classifying the degrees of protection from dust, water and impact afforded by electrical equipment and enclosures. The code is separated into two characteristic numerals, the first numeral indicates the protection of hazardous parts and protection of equipment against ingress of foreign solid objects. The second numeral indicates protection of equipment against harmful ingress of liquids. The IP Standard is designed to test a products suitability for a specific environment. Many call up IP testing as a basic requirement for environmental testing against external influences such as water ingress, dust ingress and protection against contact with live parts. Baseefa can carry out a wide range of IP testing to meet your requirements, all of which can be found in greater detail under Ingress Protection Tests on the Testing page of this website. |
